We have begun our adventures of stand-by flying. So far, we have taken advantage of Steve's flight benefits twice. Hailey has done great on the airplane and it is nice to know that we can fly to so many places. This passed weekend, we did experience a little "bump" in our stand-by flying adventure.

We flew to Richmond on Friday afternoon when Steve got off from work. It went very smoothly. Steve had to be back at work on Monday morning for training, so we decided we would try to get on the 5:15 flight back to Atlanta on Sunday afternoon. Well, with thunderstorm and tornado warnings in Atlanta, no flights were leaving or going into Atlanta. Plus, the flights before our flight were canceled. We knew we wouldn't be able to fly back in time for Steve to get to work Monday. So, we had to rent a car and drive 9.5 hours back home. We drove through bad storms and finally got home and in bed by 4:00 this morning and Steve had to be at work at 8:00. CRAZY!!!!! Lesson learned...we shouldn't push our luck!
